CBS covers the 28 pages redacted from the congressional joint inquiry into the 9/11 attack, interviewing Bob Graham and touching on a number of topics relevant to the pursuit of 9/11 truth.
Senator Bob Graham continues to ask questions about the 28 pages redacted from the Joint Congressional Inquiry into the 9/11 attacks. The Senator asserts that the FBI is covering up the connection between the attacks and the Saudi Arabian government.
New claims by the “20th hijacker” Zacarias Moussaoui of Saudi Arabian involvement in financing the 9/11 attacks have increased pressure on the intelligence community to release the 28 redacted pages of the Joint Congressional Inquiry into the September 11th attacks.
Joining member of Congress, family members of 9/11 victims urged the Obama Administration to declassify previously secret portions of the Congressional investigation into the September 11th attacks and reveal more truth about what happened on that day. Educated speculation, informed by leaks from those familiar with 28 pages redacted from the report suggested the involvement of Saudi Arabian nationals.
In sworn statements that seem likely to reignite debate, two former senators who were privy to top secret information on the Saudis’ activities say they believe that the Saudi government might have played a direct role in the terrorist attacks. Still, Washington has continued to stand behind Saudi Arabia, with the Justice Department joining the kingdom in trying to have the lawsuits thrown out of court on the grounds that the Saudis are protected by international immunity.
Former Florida Senator Bob Graham has seen two classified FBI documents that he says raise new questions about the Bureau’s once secret investigation of a possible Saudi support operation for the 9/11 hijackers in Sarasota. Graham would not disclose the content of the documents, which are marked “Secret,” but said the information they contain is at odds with the FBI’s public statements that there was no connection between the hijackers and Saudis then living in Sarasota.
William Doyle’s family is one of the families determined to find those who funded the attacks on 9/11. Doyle’s son, Joseph, was killed in the north tower of the World Trade Center. Doyle said there are “concrete facts” showing the majority of the hijackers’ funding originated from Saudi Arabia. He said the government helped “shield” some of that evidence when the joint congressional committee investigating the attacks published a report in December 2002 and redacted about 28 pages. Doyle and others believe names of Saudi financiers and companies have been removed.
New information is surfacing that a Saudi family in Sarasota is linked to the masterminds of the 9/11 terror attack. Even though the FBI investigated the connection after the family fled, Congressional investigators were never notified. And that has former Sen. Bob Graham calling for a new investigation.
