Media Roots Interview with Brett Smith, Creator of Hypothesis

This is an exclusive Media Roots Radio interview with Utah based documentarian Brett Smith, conducted by Abby and Robbie Martin on February 23, 2011.
In 2006, Brett’s love of films drew him into taking a film class where he was required to make a 15 minute short. That 15 minute short later turned into 40 minute documentary called Hypothesis.
Hypothesis is a documentary that follows physicis professor Steven E. Jones during a pivotal time in his life. In 2005, Jones went public with a theory about 9/11 that was so controversial, it resulted in everything from hate mail, threats, and even bribery to try to end his research. Despite the outside pressures, Jones vowed to never give up on his pursuit of the truth.
Debate: What Brought Down Three WTC Skyscrapers?

On Sunday, March 6, 2011, Colorado citizens will sponsor a two-hour debate at the University of Colorado, Boulder to explore the question “What brought down the three World Trade Center Towers?” The intense and controversial debate is set between proponents of the “controlled demolition” theory and the “natural collapse” theory. At 5 PM, Richard Gage, AIA, a 23-year architect and founder of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, will square off with Chris Mohr, Denver investigative journalist.
Mr. Gage will be presenting scientific information about the complete collapse of WTC1, WTC2 and WTC7 that has not been covered in the media. This event should be of particular interest since Mr. Mohr has been in consultation with the U.S. government’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in preparation for this debate.

Answers in 2001 Anthrax Attacks Are Still Elusive
An editorial from The Washington Post:
Congress should convene a nonpartisan commission staffed with individuals experienced in law enforcement to probe all of the evidence in the case, including that which the FBI claims shows Mr. Ivins had the opportunity and the wherewithal to carry out the 2001 attack. The inquiry should explore why and how the Justice Department eliminated other scientists who had access to RMR-1029 as suspects, and it should examine the security protocols at repositories for biological weapons. The exploration also should focus on the country’s preparedness to deal with such an attack in the future.
Jesse Ventura's Fake Phone Calls Claim Debunked

Jesse Ventura’s second season finale of “Conspiracy Theory” ended with an episode concerning what happened at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Among the many fraudulent claims made in the television program, Ventura included a segment dealing with the ridiculous claim that fake phone calls were made from aboard the hijacked planes that morning, further proposing the idea that the calls were actually created by voice morphing technology. Jesse Ventura called upon forensic audio expert Kent Gibson for a demonstration of voice morphing technology during the show. I had a conversation with Kent concerning his appearance on Ventura’s show. Mr. Gibson had some very interesting things to say about the fake calls claim, Jesse Ventura and his Conspiracy Theory show.

The Al Qaeda Supergrass and the 7/7 Unanswered Questions
Now released after just a few years, Babar has paid a small penalty for his role in that atrocity. But, if allegations from a US terrorism lawyer are true, Babar may have been working for the US security services while pretending to be a jihadi – allegations that could imply serious failures to prevent the 7 July bombings. Babar’s story is the stuff of spy novels. One of the most dangerous home-grown Islamist terrorists the US has known was to become the world’s most formidable terror supergrass. Seemingly well embedded in the ranks of al Qaeda, in March 2004 he flew home to New York and moved back into his parents’ detached house in the Muslim area of Queens. US authorities have so far not explained why he was not placed on a no-fly list.
Why Australia's Presence in Afghanistan is Untenable
“The events of 11 September 2001 provided a nominal casus belli for the attack and occupation of Afghanistan, heavily promoted by the mainstream media, which particularly in the United States is closely linked to the major armaments manufacturers. The same mainstream media have uncritically accepted and promoted the US government’s version of events about 11 September 2001, not because that account is plausible, which it manifestly is not, but because to question the rationale for military intervention is to question the whole of post World War II US foreign policy. If US foreign policy is seriously flawed then that in turn must raise serious questions about the level and extent of Australia’s adherence to the policies of its powerful ally.”
From “Why Australia’s Presence in Afghanistan is Untenable” by James O’Neill – a new paper published at The Journal of 9/11 Studies.
