UN Rights Expert Denies Suggesting US Role in 9/11
A UN expert on human rights in the Palestinian territories on Friday denied that he endorsed claims of US government involvement in the September 11 attacks. “I wish to be absolutely clear; I do not endorse the theory that the US government orchestrated the 9/11 attacks,” Richard Falk said in a statement released by the UN human rights office. The United States on Tuesday demanded his dismissal for “noxious” comments over an alleged US cover-up.
Say Goodbye to the Terror Warning Colors
Terror threats to the U.S. will no longer be described in shades of green, blue, yellow, orange and red. The nation’s color-coded terror warning system will be phased out beginning this week, according to government officials familiar with the plan. The Bush administration created the five-tiered, color-coded system after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

According to Wikipedia, the phrase “third rail” is defined as “a metaphor in politics to denote an idea or topic that is so “charged” and “untouchable” that any politician or public official who dares to broach the subject would invariably suffer politically.” This most certainly applies to 9/11.

Falk wrote in a blog this month that there had been an “apparent cover-up” by US authorities over the September 11, 2001 attacks, in which hijackers flew airliners into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon near Washington. He said mainstream media had been “unwilling to acknowledge the well-evidenced doubts about the official version of the events: an al Qaeda operation with no foreknowledge by government officials.”
9/11 Whistleblower Shaffer: I'm Not a Truther
On January 20th, Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer came to Wayne PA to speak at the Anthony Wayne Movie Theather. Shaffer is a 9/11 whistleblower. Within the last year, he released a book entitled, Operation Dark Heart. The Pentagon heavily redacted the book. They purchased the first 10,000 copies that weren’t redacted, and burned them. Anthony will tell you that he’s not a “truther.” However, he acknowledges that there needs to be a common ground between us if we are to be successful.
9/11 Museum Cashes In on Kids
Schoolchildren thought their penny jars and bake-sale proceeds would go toward building a 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero — not the six-figure salaries of nonprofit execs. But 11 staffers at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum each pulled down more than $170,000 in total compensation in 2009, according to the most recent filings. Four execs took home more than $320,000.
NYPD Shows Anti-Muslim Film in Counter-Terror Training
New York Police Department officers who showed up for mandatory counter-terrorism training were shown a “spectacularly offensive” anti-Muslim film claiming that American Muslims are secretly plotting to take over the country, a news report alleged Wednesday. The news is further evidence that US law enforcement agencies are turning to extremist anti-Islamic “consultants” to provide training for terrorism investigations.

In the past, we’ve had people like Glenn Beck say that we love Holocaust Denying murderers (now he’s saying we are a “Recipe For Disaster“). The “Pentagon Shooter” was painted as a 9/11 Truther. Lt. Col Shaffer vs. the Pentagon
So Operation Dark Heart is now on the shelves, but Shaffer isn’t finished. Arguing his First Amendment right to free speech, Shaffer is suing the Department of Defense, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency to get the original Dark Heart reprinted, sans the big black lines. If he wins, Shaffer will set an important precedent and hopefully a bulwark against future Pentagon intimidation, secrecy and the attempted editorial whitewashing of wartime accounts.
