9/11 Truth vs 9/11 Conspiracy Theory

9/11 Truth is primarily focused on facts. While there is much speculation in the 911 Truth Movement, none of it is essential to the cause. Unfortunately, you wouldn’t know that looking at the movement, which often looks a lot more from the outside like the 9/11 Conspiracy Movement. Speculation is in our human nature. We can’t dismiss any group or social cause due simply to the natural speculation of it’s members. However, the mainstream media does exactly that, most often ignoring essential facts.

9/11 Speculation vs. 9/11 Conspiracy Theory

History is written by people. And very often the facts of history are not perfectly clear. As a result there can be some degree of reasonable speculation involved in even the most academic historical accounts. The same is true for 9/11. The official account of the 9/11 attacks is full of holes. The mainstream media very often fills in those holes as any wild-eyed conspiracy theorist. And yet any speculation about the attack that does agree with the incomplete official story is widely ridiculed. At the same time, there is a good deal of poorly founded speculation in the movement that would qualify as pointless or unproductive and even offensive conspiracy theory. Responsible voices for 9/11 Truth know the difference between responsible speculation and damaging fantasies.

Why 9/11 Truth Is Not 9/11 Conspiracy Theory

The 9/11 Truth Movement is very simply not based on speculation or theorizing. The movement would exist even without people who would like to blame one person or government. The 9/11 Truth Movement would exist even if everyone with some kind of theory about it lost interest. 9/11 Truth is really principally about a set of officially documented facts that directly contradict another set of officially documented facts. In other words, 9/11 Truth is about our governments own contradictions and the public’s right to have to contradictions addressed. Wanting the truth is not the same as thinking you know what it is.
